When we moved to our home 3.5 years ago, there were only two flowering plants on the property - a white azalea and a pink azalea. But he saw my vision and helped to nourish it along. As I sit here admiring this gorgeous addition Steve is building for our cottage garden, I beam from ear to ear with love for this magnificent husband of mine - oh how truly blessed I am - and not because he’s good with power tools. He really does have a heart of gold, the patience of Job (as I’m often reminded 😆), he’s my best friend, my bird, the one I count on, my emergency contact, my companion, the one I laugh with, and the one God made especially for me - He knew how much I needed him - and I’m so grateful. I have found the one my souls loves…

When I originally designed this clothespin bag I had absolutely no idea that it would end up becoming the most popular item we sell in our @etsy shop - they sell out no sooner than I make and list them. I still get totally tickled each time someone orders one. One of my favorite childhood memories was running in and out of the sheets on my grandmother's clothesline - it was magical. Those sheets always smelled perfectly delightful as Grandma tucked me in as snug as a bug at bedtime. Those were the days!

I have a lot on my mind this morning. Much to take

I have a lot on my mind this morning. Much to take to prayer. The last week has brought with it several instances that are really working to push me back in a direction that I have fought so hard to break free from - but they will not win. While my brain fights to understand the how and the why, my spirit already knows because it was prepared in advance, “for such a time as this.” Those six words have been spoken on so many different occasions within the last few weeks and they are such a firm reminder of my purpose here on earth.

My brain will never be able to rationalize the how or the why of the situations that have been presented - I simply cannot relate or justify the actions because it is not within my character to act in the same manner. But I will pray and trust in God’s plan. Through the trials that have been presented, I know that they will only bring me closer to Him. I am being strengthened.

A brief moment of anger and hurt will not change the fact that my heart is full of compassion, patience, kindness, grace, and love - no matter how tender it may feel at this moment.

Today, I do not understand - but one day, I will.
